Seek Medical Attention... Elsewhere
I recently accompanied my friend to the ER after he was seriously injured in a car accident. His emergency medical care was fine, but once he was taken up to the pediatric ward for post-operative care, he encountered all sorts of absurd and potentially dangerous situations. Two mild examples: The charge nurse on one of the nights kicked me out of his room at 8pm because she wanted to "put him to bed" (he's 20, and he wasn't tired), and she informed me by marching into his room unannounced and saying "you have one minute to get your stuff and get out". On another occasion, a tech came to draw my friend's blood, and not only did he not use gloves, he did such a bad job that blood was literally spurting out of my friend's arm all over the tech, the patient, and the bed. He then did not clean up the biohazard mess, and left the used needle uncovered on the counter.
