Shame on you

Now we face a new threat to our survival. The proliferation of human beings, coupled with the by-products of economic growth, is just as capable as the old threats of wiping out our society. Let's start with a few questions:
Who side is our government on? Does power corrupt and absolute power corrupt absolutly?, and Are we under any moral obligation to obey the law if the law protects and sanctions things we hold utterly wrong?

Here's the point,we need to organize ourselves as American's be it white, black ,yellow or brown, we need to stand up to the establishment we can't pretend anymore and those of you who are in denial, snap out of it fast. We are the people and it is our duty as citizen's ,and to do that we need power , it's simple , there is power in numbers that's where we come in . Look historically the power of the people came together to finally end slavery and at high price. The "Civil War" , need I say more?
As citizen's we need to be prepared to die for our cause , stand for something in this country we should be making the decision's not the politician's.
We need accountability, checks and balances . Were not even enforcing the laws in this country anymore. Also we need to hold these people accountable who get us in this mess. The open borders, outsourcing manufacturing, shopping military contract's that are a conflict of interest (unethical), not standing up for our troops especially in a combat zone, allowing institution's to mislead and misinform consumers, corporate lobbyist deciding and dictating our laws and when and how their enforced.
It is not desirable to cultivate a respect for the law, so much as for the right( Henry Thoreau, "Civil Disobedience").

Applause A great piece! I thing we are no longer a democracy the way our founders have envisioned. Unfortunately, only revolutions have proven to be an effective tool to realign societies. The problem with revolutions is that people will use it as a last resolve to change course.
The majority does not rule anymore in the sense that the will of the people is not executed. In most important issues the courts decide, often overriding the people's vote.
We are often to blame for the situation, because we want a free lunch, we want our views to be in control even if we are a small minority.

I like your thoughts, and you ask important questions. You can see power corrupts. This happens everywhere, it is sad and distressing. We need leaders, we trust them, they too often fail us. What kind of power to we have, us the people? How do you think we can organize and make changes. We always wanted responsibility, accountability. How do we achieve it so it is not just spoken out into the air, but also implemented?
