Stay away from Barstow Community Hospital. Due to their negligence in 2002 my right leg was amputated and now in 2009 it's the fault of Dr. Chiang, a surgeon, that I'm putting up a fight to keep my left foot. Dr. Chiang opened a blister on my foot which, in turn, became infected; and of course he had to do surgery. Whistle Then, he never gave in-house nurses orders or instructions on wound care; therefore it's now infected to the bone. The infection is raging through my body. I'll die before I go back to BCH, Boo hoo! hell, I may die anyway because of their lack of good staff and equipment. I'll go to Victorville or Loma Linda if I have to get there on bloody stumps. If I were you and were injured as badly as you say you were, I would try to find the best medical malpractice attorney in San Bernardino County. They operate on a fee-contingency basis. I would also file an immediate claim with the Social Security administration for disability. There are a lot of so-called "surgeons" practicing who wouldn't make the grade to be meat-cutters at the local Walmart.
